Since its inauguration in 1994, Nebraska Soccer has grown into one of the most respected and successful programs in the nation. Head Coach John Walker came to Nebraska in April of that year on a mission to construct national championship-caliber teams, and in 19 seasons Walker has developed a program that consistently competes among the elite in collegiate soccer.

In just under two decades, Nebraska has earned over 260 wins and made 10 NCAA Tournament appearances. In that time, the Huskers won a league-best eight Big 12 titles while they were Big 12 members from 1996-2010, advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 eight times and qualified for the NCAA Elite Eight twice. The Huskers have failed to win 10 or more games in a season just three times in Walker's 19 seasons at NU and have topped the 20-win mark three times.

With a wealth of support and a history of success, Nebraska Soccer expects to contend for championships in the years to come.

Nebraska has earned 17 All-America awards from the National Coaches Association of America in the past 17 seasons, including 2010 second-team selection Morgan Marlborough. In 1996, Kari Uppinghouse became Nebraska’s first first-team All-American while leading the Huskers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance and a 23-game winning streak.

The Huskers had 44 student-athletes earn first-team All-Big 12 honors, while three Huskers earned All-Big Ten honors in 2012, including second-team picks Mayme Conroy and Ari Romero. Overall, the Huskers have totaled 75 all-conference honors.
