Team Facilities

The Husker men’s basketball facilities are among the nation’s best, as the program moved into the Hendricks Training Complex in October of 2011. Husker players have the Neal and Jamie Hawks Players Lounge, which includes over 400’ of televisions, a plasma video wall, a custom couch, pool table and kitchen area, as well as an expansive sound system. The Husker looker room features 20 wooden lockers with built-in iPads, a Terrazzo flooring display, individualized displays and A/V jacks so players can play their own music throughout the facility. The locker room also features hot and cold tanks, as well as a shower area with three sprinkler heads and built in speakers to listen to music.

Hendricks Training Complex

The 84,000-square foot Hendricks Training Complex opened in October of 2011, and is one of the nation’s premier basketball facilities. The two-level facility features the Bus Whitehead Court for practices, as well as a team meeting and film room, the Neal and Jamie Hawks Players Lounge as well as a 5,000-square foot weight room and an expanded nutrition oasis. The Bus Whitehead Court includes a court and a half of space with balcony viewing from the coaches’ offices, a 103’ plasma TV for coaching and instruction and acoustically treated walls for better communication inside the gym.

Arena Fly-By

Pinnacle Bank Arena

Scheduled to open in the fall of 2013, the 15,000-seat Pinnacle Bank Arena will open in downtown Lincoln and be the home of the Nebraska men's and women's basketball programs. The $344 million project in the Haymarket District also includes an ice center, a 200-room hotel, 100,000 square feet of retail space, another 100,000 square feet of office space and 100 residential units. The $179 million dollar arena will be easily accessible in downtown Lincoln as nearly 7,100 parking stalls will be within walking distance of the facility. Pinnacle Bank Arena will include an expansive student section that will surround the court on three sides, as well as suites, loge boxes and 73 concession points of sale.

East Stadium Expansion

In April of 2011 the University of Nebraska began construction expanding the East Stadium of Memorial Stadium. When construction is complete in 2013 East Stadium will be roughly twice as tall as it originally was, accommodate more than 6,000 extra fans with 38 additional suites, and house the Nebraska Athletic Research facility. Bob Devaney Sports Center

Named after the Cornhuskers’ long-time football coach and athletic director, the 13,595-seat Bob Devaney Sports Center has been home to Nebraska basketball since it opened in 1976. The facility has undergone extensive renovations in recent years to keep it among the best multi-purpose facilities in the country, including video replay screens, expanded concourse and expanded student seating.

Nebraska has enjoyed its surroundings in men’s basketball, going 436-141 (.756) all-time at the Devaney Center, as the Huskers have ranked among the top-50 nationally in attendance for the last six, including nearly 11,000 per game for the Huskers' first year in the Big Ten in 2011-12. Nebraska has enjoyed its home environment, posting a winning rcord at the Devaney Center in each of the last 36 years, including a school-record 17 home wins in 2010-11.

One of the best features of the Devaney Center is the Red Zone student section off the end lines, which creates a frenzied environment on game days. The 2012-13 season will be the Huskers' final year at the Devaney Center, as Nebraska moves to the Pinnacle Bank Arena in the fall of 2013.
